Or what do you provide for him, if your way should be immaculate?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,4,&quot;Job&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Will he reprove you and take you to judgment for being afraid,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,5,&quot;Job&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">and not because of your many evil deeds and your infinite unfairness?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,6,&quot;Job&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For you have taken away the collateral of your brothers without cause, and stripped them naked of their clothing.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,7,&quot;Job&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">You have not given water to the weary; you have taken bread away from the hungry.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,8,&quot;Job&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">By the strength of your arm, you took possession of the land, and you retain it by being the strongest.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,9,&quot;Job&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">You have sent widows away empty, and you have crushed the shoulders of orphans.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,10,&quot;Job&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Because of this, you are surrounded by traps, and unexpected fears will disturb you.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,11,&quot;Job&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And did you think that you would not see darkness and that you were not to be overwhelmed by the on-rush of overflowing waters?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,12,&quot;Job&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Have you not considered that God is higher than the heavens and is lifted above the height of the stars?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,13,&quot;Job&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And you say: “Well, what does God know?” and, “He judges, as if through a fog,”<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,14,&quot;Job&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">and, “The clouds are his hiding-place,” and, “He does not examine us closely,” and, “He makes his rounds at the limits of the heavens.”<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,15,&quot;Job&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Do you not want to tend the path of the ages, which wicked men have spurned?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"16\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,16,&quot;Job&quot;)\">16<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">These were taken away before their time, and a flood overthrew their foundation.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"17\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,17,&quot;Job&quot;)\">17<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">They said to God, “Withdraw from us,” and they treated the Almighty as if he could do nothing,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"18\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,22,18,&quot;Job&quot;)\">18<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">though he had filled their houses with good things.
