But he was angry against Job because he described himself to be just in the presence of God.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"3\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,32,3,&quot;Job&quot;)\">3<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Moreover, he was indignant with his friends because they had not found a reasonable response, except in so far as they condemned Job.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,32,4,&quot;Job&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Therefore, Eliu waited while Job was talking, for these were his elders that were speaking.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,32,5,&quot;Job&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">But when he saw that these three were not able to respond, he was extremely angry.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,32,6,&quot;Job&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And so Eliu the son of Barachel the Buzite responded by saying: I am younger in years, and you are more ancient; therefore, I kept my head low, for I was afraid to reveal to you my opinion.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,32,7,&quot;Job&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For I had hoped that greater age would speak, and that a multitude of years would teach wisdom.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,32,8,&quot;Job&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">But I see now that there is only breath in men, and that it is the inspiration of the Almighty that gives understanding.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,32,9,&quot;Job&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The wise are not the aged, nor do the elders understand judgment.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,32,10,&quot;Job&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Therefore, I will speak.
