{"reader_html":"<h1 class=\"chapter-heading\">Job<span class=\"chapter-label\">Chapter 36<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"1\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,1,&quot;Job&quot;)\">1<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Continuing in a similar manner, Eliu had this to say:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"2\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,2,&quot;Job&quot;)\">2<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Bear with me for a little while and I will show you; for I have still more to say in favor of God.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"3\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,3,&quot;Job&quot;)\">3<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">I will review my knowledge from the beginning, and I will prove my Maker to be just.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,4,&quot;Job&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For truly my words are without any falsehood and perfect knowledge will be proven to you.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,5,&quot;Job&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">God does not abandon the powerful, for he himself is also powerful.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,6,&quot;Job&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">But he does not save the impious, though he grants judgment to the poor.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,7,&quot;Job&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He will not take his eyes away from the just, and he continually establishes kings on their throne, and they are exalted.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,8,&quot;Job&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And, if they are in captivity, or are bound with the chains of poverty,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,9,&quot;Job&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">he will reveal to them their works, as well as their sinfulness, in that they were violent.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,10,&quot;Job&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Likewise, he will open their ears to his correction, and he will speak to them, so that they may return from iniquity.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,11,&quot;Job&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">If they listen and obey, they will fill their days with goodness and complete their years in glory.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,12,&quot;Job&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">But if they will not listen, they will pass away by the sword and will be consumed by foolishness.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,13,&quot;Job&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The false and the crafty provoke the wrath of God, yet they do not cry out to him when they are chained.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,14,&quot;Job&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Their soul will die in a storm, and their life, among the unmanly.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,15,&quot;Job&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He will rescue the poor from his anguish, and he will open his ear during tribulation.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"16\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,16,&quot;Job&quot;)\">16<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Therefore, he will save you from the narrow mouth very widely, even though it has no foundation under it. Moreover, your respite at table will be full of fatness.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"17\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,17,&quot;Job&quot;)\">17<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Your case has been judged like that of the impious; you will withdraw your plea and your judgment.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"18\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,18,&quot;Job&quot;)\">18<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Therefore, do not let anger overwhelm you so that you oppress another; neither should you allow a multitude of gifts to influence you.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"19\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,19,&quot;Job&quot;)\">19<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Lay down your greatness without distress, and put aside all of your power with courage.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"20\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,20,&quot;Job&quot;)\">20<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Do not prolong the night, even if people rise on their behalf.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"21\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,21,&quot;Job&quot;)\">21<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Be careful that you do not turn to iniquity; for, after your misery, you have begun to follow this.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"22\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,22,&quot;Job&quot;)\">22<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Behold, God is exalted in his strength, and there is no one like him among the law-givers.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"23\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,36,23,&quot;Job&quot;)\">23<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Who is able to investigate his ways?
