{"reader_html":"<h1 class=\"chapter-heading\">Exodus<span class=\"chapter-label\">Chapter 36<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"1\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,1,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">1<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Therefore, Bezalel, and Oholiab, and every wise man, to whom the Lord gave wisdom and intelligence, so as to know how to work skillfully, made that which was necessary for the uses of the Sanctuary and which the Lord had instructed.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"2\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,2,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">2<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And when Moses had called them and every man of learning, to whom the Lord had given wisdom, and who, of their own accord, had offered themselves in order to accomplish this work,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"3\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,3,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">3<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">he handed over to them all the donations of the sons of Israel. And while they were pursuing this work, the people offered what they had vowed each day, in the morning.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,4,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The artisans were compelled by this to go<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,5,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">to Moses and to say, “The people offer more than is needed.”<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,6,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Therefore, Moses ordered this to be recited, with a voice of proclamation: “Let neither man nor woman offer anything further for the work of the Sanctuary.” And so they ceased from offering gifts,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,7,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">because what was offered was sufficient and was more than an abundance.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,8,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And all those who were wise of heart, in order to accomplish the work of the tabernacle, made ten curtains of fine twisted linen, and hyacinth, and purple, and twice-dyed scarlet, with diverse workmanship by the art of embroidery.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,9,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Each of these was twenty-eight cubits in length, and in width, four. All the curtains were of one measure.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,10,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And he joined five curtains to one another, and the other five he coupled to one another.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,11,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He also made loops of hyacinth along the edge of one curtain on both sides, and similarly along the edge of the other curtain,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,12,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">so that the loops might meet against one another and might be joined together.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,13,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For these, he also cast fifty gold rings, which would retain the loops of the curtains and so make the tabernacle one.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,14,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He also made eleven canopies from the hair of goats, in order to cover the roof of the tabernacle:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,15,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">one canopy held in length thirty cubits, and in width four cubits. All the canopies were of one measure.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"16\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,16,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">16<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Five of these he joined by themselves, and the other six separately.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"17\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,17,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">17<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And he made fifty loops along the edge of one canopy, and fifty along the edge of the other canopy, so that they might be joined to one another,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"18\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,18,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">18<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">and fifty buckles of brass, with which the roof might be woven together, so that from all the canopies there would be made one covering.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"19\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,19,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">19<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He also made a covering for the tabernacle from the skins of rams, dyed-red; and another cover above it, from violet skins.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"20\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,20,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">20<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He also made the standing panels of the tabernacle, from setim wood.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"21\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,21,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">21<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Ten cubits was the length of one panel, and one and one half cubits comprised the width.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"22\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,22,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">22<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">There were two dovetails along every panel, so that one might be joined to the other. Thus did he make all the panels of the tabernacle.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"23\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,23,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">23<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Of these, twenty were toward the meridian area, opposite the south,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"24\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,24,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">24<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">with forty bases of silver. Two bases were set under one panel at each of two sides at the corners, where the joints of the sides terminate in corners.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"25\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,25,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">25<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Likewise, at that side of the tabernacle which looks toward the north, he made twenty panels,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"26\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,26,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">26<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">with forty bases of silver, two bases for each board.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"27\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,27,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">27<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Yet truly, opposite the west, that is, toward that part of the tabernacle which looks out toward the sea, he made six panels,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"28\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,28,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">28<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">and two others at each corner of the tabernacle at the back,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"29\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,29,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">29<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">which were joined from bottom to top and held together by one joint. So did he make both corners on that side.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"30\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,30,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">30<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">So then, there were altogether eight panels, and they had sixteen bases of silver, with, of course, two bases under each panel.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"31\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,31,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">31<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He also made bars from setim wood: five to hold together the panels at one side of the tabernacle,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"32\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,32,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">32<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">and five others to fit together the panels of the other side, and, in addition to these, five other bars toward the western area of the tabernacle, opposite the sea.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"33\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,33,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">33<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He also made another bar, which came through the middle of the panels from corner to corner.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"34\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,2,36,34,&quot;Exodus&quot;)\">34<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">But the panels themselves he overlaid with gold, casting silver bases for them. And he made their rings from gold, through which the bars might be able to be drawn.
