The vision by which his mother instructed him:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"2\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,2,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">2<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">“What, O my beloved? What, O beloved of my womb? What, O beloved of my vows?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"3\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,3,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">3<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Do not give your substance to women, or your riches to overthrow kings.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,4,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Not to kings, O Lamuel, not to kings give wine. For there are no secrets where drunkenness reigns.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,5,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And perhaps they may drink and forget judgments, and alter the case of the sons of the poor.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,6,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Give strong drink to the grieving, and wine to those who are bitter in soul.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,7,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Let them drink, and forget their needs, and remember their sorrow no more.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,8,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Open your mouth for the mute and for all the cases of the sons who are passing through.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,9,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Open your mouth, declare what is just, and do justice to the indigent and the poor.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,10,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Who shall find a strong woman? Far away, and from the furthest parts, is her price.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,11,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The heart of her husband confides in her, and he will not be deprived of spoils.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,12,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She will repay him with good, and not evil, all the days of her life.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,13,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She has sought wool and flax, and she has worked these by the counsel of her hands.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,14,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She has become like a merchant’s ship, bringing her bread from far away.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,15,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And she has risen in the night, and given a prey to her household, and provisions to her maids.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"16\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,16,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">16<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She has considered a field and bought it. From the fruit of her own hands, she has planted a vineyard.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"17\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,17,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">17<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She has wrapped her waist with fortitude, and she has strengthened her arm.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"18\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,18,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">18<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She has tasted and seen that her tasks are good; her lamp shall not be extinguished at night.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"19\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,19,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">19<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She has put her hand to strong things, and her fingers have taken hold of the spindle.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"20\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,20,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">20<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She has opened her hand to the needy, and she has extended her hands to the poor.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"21\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,21,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">21<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She shall not fear, in the cold of snow, for her household. For all those of her household have been clothed two-fold.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"22\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,22,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">22<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She has made embroidered clothing for herself. Fine linen and purple is her garment.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"23\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,23,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">23<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Her husband is noble at the gates, when he sits among the senators of the land.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"24\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,24,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">24<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She has made finely woven cloth and sold it, and she has delivered a waistband to the Canaanite.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"25\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,25,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">25<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Strength and elegance are her clothing, and she will laugh in the final days.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"26\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,26,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">26<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She has opened her mouth to wisdom, and the law of clemency is on her tongue.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"27\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,27,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">27<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">She has considered the paths of her household, and she has not eaten her bread in idleness.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"28\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,28,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">28<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Her sons rose up and predicted great happiness; her husband rose up and praised her.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"29\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,29,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">29<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Many daughters have gathered together riches; you have surpassed them all.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"30\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,30,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">30<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Charm is false, and beauty is vain. The woman who fears the Lord, the same shall be praised.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"31\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,31,31,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">31<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Give to her from the fruit of her own hands.
