{"reader_html":"<h1 class=\"chapter-heading\">Hebrews<span class=\"chapter-label\">Chapter 1<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"1\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,19,1,1,&quot;Hebrews&quot;)\">1<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">In many places and in many ways, in past times, God spoke to the fathers through the Prophets;<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"2\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,19,1,2,&quot;Hebrews&quot;)\">2<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">lastly, in these days, he has spoken to us through the Son, whom he appointed as the heir of all things, and through whom he made the world.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"3\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,19,1,3,&quot;Hebrews&quot;)\">3<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And since the Son is the brightness of his glory, and the figure of his substance, and is carrying all things by the Word of his virtue, thereby accomplishing a purging of sins, he sits at the right hand of Majesty on high.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,19,1,4,&quot;Hebrews&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And having been made so much better than the Angels, he has inherited a name so much greater than theirs.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,19,1,5,&quot;Hebrews&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For to which of the Angels has he ever said: “You are my Son; today have I begotten you?” Or again: “I will be a Father to him, and he shall be a Son to me?”<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,19,1,6,&quot;Hebrews&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And again, when he brings the only-begotten Son into the world, he says: “And let all the Angels of God adore him.”<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,19,1,7,&quot;Hebrews&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And about the Angels, certainly, he says: “He makes his Angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.”<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,19,1,8,&quot;Hebrews&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">But about the Son: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of equity.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,19,1,9,&quot;Hebrews&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">You have loved justice, and you have hated iniquity. Because of this, God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of exultation, above your companions.”<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,19,1,10,&quot;Hebrews&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And: “In the beginning, O Lord, you founded the earth. And the heavens are the work of your hands.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,19,1,11,&quot;Hebrews&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">These shall pass away, but you will remain. And all will grow old like a garment.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,19,1,12,&quot;Hebrews&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And you will change them like a cloak, and they shall be changed.
