{"reader_html":"<h1 class=\"chapter-heading\">1 Corinthians<span class=\"chapter-label\">Chapter 6<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"1\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,1,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">1<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">How is it that anyone of you, having a dispute against another, would dare to be judged before the iniquitous, and not before the saints?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"2\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,2,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">2<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Or do you not know that the saints from this age shall judge it? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you unworthy, then, to judge even the smallest matters?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"3\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,3,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">3<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more the things of this age?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,4,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Therefore, if you have matters to judge concerning this age, why not appoint those who are most contemptible in the Church to judge these things!<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,5,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">But I am speaking so as to shame you. Is there no one among you wise enough, so that he might be able to judge between his brothers?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,6,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Instead, brother contends against brother in court, and this before the unfaithful!<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,7,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Now there is certainly an offense among you, beyond everything else, when you have court cases against one another. Should you not accept injury instead? Should you not endure being cheated instead?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,8,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">But you are doing the injuring and the cheating, and this toward brothers!<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,9,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Do you not know that the iniquitous will not possess the kingdom of God? Do not choose to wander astray. For neither fornicators, nor servants of idolatry, nor adulterers,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,10,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">nor the effeminate, nor males who sleep with males, nor thieves, nor the avaricious, nor the inebriated, nor slanderers, nor the rapacious shall possess the kingdom of God.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,11,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And some of you were like this. But you have been absolved, but you have been sanctified, but you have been justified: all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,12,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">All is lawful to me, but not all is expedient. All is lawful to me, but I will not be driven back by the authority of anyone.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,13,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food. But God shall destroy both the stomach and food. And the body is not for fornication, but rather for the Lord; and the Lord is for the body.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,14,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Truly, God has raised up the Lord, and he will raise us up by his power.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,15,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Do you not know that your bodies are a part of Christ? So then, should I take a part of Christ and make it a part of a harlot? Let it not be so!<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"16\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,16,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">16<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And do you not know that whoever is joined to a harlot becomes one body? “For the two,” he said, “shall be as one flesh.”<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"17\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,17,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">17<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">But whoever is joined to the Lord is one spirit.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"18\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,18,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">18<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Flee from fornication. Every sin whatsoever that a man commits is outside of the body, but whoever fornicates, sins against his own body.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"19\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,19,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">19<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Or do you not know that your bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"20\" onclick=\"loadParallel(2,7,6,20,&quot;1 Corinthians&quot;)\">20<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For you have been bought at a great price.
