{"reader_html":"<h1 class=\"chapter-heading\">Job<span class=\"chapter-label\">Chapter 12<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"1\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,1,&quot;Job&quot;)\">1<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">When Job answered, and said:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"2\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,2,&quot;Job&quot;)\">2<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Are you then men alone, and shall wisdom die with you?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"3\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,3,&quot;Job&quot;)\">3<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">I also have a heart as well as you: for who is ignorant of these things, which you know?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,4,&quot;Job&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that is mocked by his friends as I, shall call upon God and he will hear him: for the simplicity of the just man is laughed to scorn.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,5,&quot;Job&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The lamp despised in the thoughts of the rich, is ready for the time appointed.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,6,&quot;Job&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The tabernacles of robbers abound, and they provoke God boldly; whereas it is he that hath given all into their hands:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,7,&quot;Job&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee: and the birds of the air, and they shall tell thee.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,8,&quot;Job&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Speak to the earth, and it shall answer thee: and the fishes of the sea shall tell.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,9,&quot;Job&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Who is ignorant that the hand of the Lord hath made all these things?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,10,&quot;Job&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the spirit of all flesh of man.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,11,&quot;Job&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Doth not the ear discern words, and the palate of him that eateth, the taste?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,12,&quot;Job&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">In the ancient is wisdom, and in length of days prudence.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,13,&quot;Job&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,14,&quot;Job&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">If he pull down, there is no man that can build up: if he shut up a. man, there is none that can open.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,15,&quot;Job&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">If he withhold the waters, all things shall be dried up: and if he send them out, they shall overturn the earth.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"16\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,16,&quot;Job&quot;)\">16<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">With him is strength and wisdom: he knoweth both the deceiver, and him that is deceived.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"17\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,17,&quot;Job&quot;)\">17<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He bringeth counsellors to a foolish end, and judges to insensibility.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"18\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,18,&quot;Job&quot;)\">18<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He looseth the belt of kings, and girdeth their loins with a cord.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"19\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,19,&quot;Job&quot;)\">19<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He leadeth away priests without glory, and overthroweth nobles.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"20\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,20,&quot;Job&quot;)\">20<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He changeth the speech of the true speakers, and taketh away the doctrine of the aged.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"21\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,21,&quot;Job&quot;)\">21<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He poureth contempt upon princes, and relieveth them that were oppressed.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"22\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,22,&quot;Job&quot;)\">22<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth up to light the shadow of death.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"23\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,23,&quot;Job&quot;)\">23<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He multiplieth nations, and destroyeth them, and restoreth them again after they were overthrown.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"24\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,24,&quot;Job&quot;)\">24<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He changeth the heart of the princes of the people of the earth, and deceiveth them that they walk in vain where there is no way.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"25\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,12,25,&quot;Job&quot;)\">25<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">They shall grope as in the dark, and not in the light, and he shall make them stagger like men that are drunk.<\/span> <\/p>\n<div class=\"bottom-nav\"><a href=\"\/drb\/1\/18\/11\" class=\"nav-btn-lg nav-ajax\">&lsaquo;
