onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,1,&quot;Job&quot;)\">1<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Job also added, taking up his parable, and said:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"2\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,2,&quot;Job&quot;)\">2<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment, and the Almighty, who hath brought my soul to bitterness,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"3\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,3,&quot;Job&quot;)\">3<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">As long as breath remaineth in me, and the spirit of God in my nostrils,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,4,&quot;Job&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">My lips shall not speak iniquity, neither shall my tongue contrive lying.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,5,&quot;Job&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">God forbid that I should judge you to be just: till I die I will not depart from my innocence.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,6,&quot;Job&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">My justification, which I have begun to hold, I will not forsake: for my heart doth not reprehend me in all my life.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,7,&quot;Job&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Let my enemy be as the ungodly, and my adversary as the wicked one.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,8,&quot;Job&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For what is the hope of the hypocrite if through covetousness he take by violence, and God deliver not his soul?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,9,&quot;Job&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Will God hear his cry, when distress shall come upon him?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,10,&quot;Job&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Or can he delight himself in the Almighty, and call upon God at all times?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,11,&quot;Job&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">I will teach you by the hand of God, what the Almighty hath, and I will not conceal it.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,12,&quot;Job&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Behold you all know it, and why do you speak vain things without cause?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,13,&quot;Job&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the inheritance of the violent, which they shall receive of the Almighty.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,14,&quot;Job&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">If his sons be multiplied, they shall be for the sword, and his grandsons shall not be filled with bread.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,15,&quot;Job&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">They that shall remain of him, shall be buried in death, and his widows shall not weep.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"16\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,16,&quot;Job&quot;)\">16<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">If he shall heap together silver as earth, and prepare raiment as clay,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"17\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,17,&quot;Job&quot;)\">17<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He shall prepare indeed, but the just man shall be clothed with it: and the innocent shall divide the silver.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"18\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,18,&quot;Job&quot;)\">18<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He hath built his house as a moth, and as a keeper he hath made a booth.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"19\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,19,&quot;Job&quot;)\">19<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The rich man when he shall sleep shall take away nothing with him: he shall open his eyes and find nothing.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"20\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,20,&quot;Job&quot;)\">20<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Poverty like water shall take hold on him, a tempest shall oppress him in the night.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"21\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,21,&quot;Job&quot;)\">21<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">A burning wind shall take him up, and carry him away, and as a whirlwind shall snatch him from his place.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"22\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,22,&quot;Job&quot;)\">22<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And he shall cast upon him, and shall not spare: out of his hand he would willingly flee.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"23\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,27,23,&quot;Job&quot;)\">23<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He
