onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,1,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">1<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The wicked man fleeth, when no man pursueth: but the just, bold as a lion, shall be without dread.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"2\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,2,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">2<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For the sine of the land many are the princes thereof: and for the wisdom of a man, and the knowledge of those things that are said, the life of the prince shall be prolonged.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"3\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,3,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">3<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">A poor man that oppresseth the poor, is like a violent shower, which bringeth a famine.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,4,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">They that forsake the law, praise the wicked man: they that keep it, are incensed against him.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,5,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Evil men think not on judgment: but they that seek after the Lord, take notice of all things.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,6,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Better is the poor man walking in his simplicity, than the rich in crooked ways.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,7,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that feedeth gluttons, shameth his father.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,8,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that heapeth together riches by usury and loan, gathereth them for him that will be bountiful to the poor.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,9,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that turneth away his ears from hearing the law, his prayer shall be as abomination.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,10,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that deceiveth the just in a wicked way, shall fall in his own destruction: and the upright shall possess his goods.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,11,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The rich man seemeth to himself wise: but the poor man that is prudent shall search him out.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,12,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">In the joy of the just there is great glory: when the wicked reign, men are ruined.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,13,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that hideth his sins, shall not prosper: but he that shall confess, and forsake them, shall obtain mercy.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,14,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Blessed is the man that is always fearful: but he that is hardened in mind, shall fall into evil.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,15,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">As a roaring lion, and a hungry bear, so is a wicked prince over the poor people.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"16\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,16,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">16<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">A prince void of prudence shall oppress many by calumny: but he that hateth covetousness, shall prolong his days.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"17\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,17,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">17<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">A man that doth violence to the blood of a person, if he flee even to the pit, no man will stay him.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"18\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,18,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">18<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that walketh uprightly, shall be saved: he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"19\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,19,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">19<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that tilleth his ground, shall be filled with bread: but he that followeth idleness shall be filled with poverty.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"20\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,20,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">20<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">A faithful man shall be much praised: but he that maketh haste to be rich, shall not be innocent.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"21\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,21,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">21<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that hath respect to a person in judgment, doth not well: such a man even for a morsel of bread forsaketh the truth.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"22\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,22,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">22<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">A man, that maketh haste to be rich, and envieth others, is ignorant that poverty shall come upon him.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"23\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,23,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">23<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that rebuketh a man, shall afterward find favour with him, more than he that by a flattering tongue deceiveth him.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"24\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,24,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">24<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that stealeth any thing from his father, or from his mother: and saith, This is no sin, is the partner of a murderer.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"25\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,25,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">25<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that boasteth, and puffeth up himself, stirreth up quarrels: but he that trusteth in the Lord, shall be healed.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"26\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,26,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">26<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that trusteth in his own heart, is a fool: but he that walketh wisely, he shall be saved.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"27\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,20,28,27,&quot;Proverbs&quot;)\">27<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He that giveth to the poor, shall not want: he that
