For God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"2\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,2,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">2<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Dreams follow many cares: and in many words shall be found folly.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"3\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,3,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">3<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">If thou hast vowed any thing to God, defer not to pay it: for an unfaithful and foolish promise displeaseth him: but whatsoever thou hast vowed, pay it.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,4,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And it is much better not to vow, than after a vow not to perform the things promised.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,5,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Give not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin: and say not before the angel: There is no providence: lest God be angry at thy words, and destroy all the works of thy hands.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,6,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Where there are many dreams, there are many vanities, and words without number: but do thou fear God.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,7,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">If thou shalt see the oppressions of the poor, and violent judgments, and justice perverted in the province, wonder not at this matter: for he that is high hath another higher, and there are others still higher than these:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,8,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Moreover there is the king that reigneth over all the land subject to him.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,9,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">A covetous man shall not be satisfied with money: and he that loveth riches shall reap no fruit from them: so this also is vanity.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,10,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Where there are great riches, there are also many to eat them. And what doth it profit the owner, but that he seeth the riches with his eyes?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,11,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Sleep is sweet to a labouring man, whether he eat lttle or much: but the fulness of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,12,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">There is also another grievous evil, which I have seen under the sun: riches kept to the hurt of the owner.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,13,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For they are lost with very great affliction: he hath begotten a son, who shall be in extremity of want.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,14,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">As he came forth naked from his mother&#039;s womb, so shall he return, and shall take nothing away with him of his labour.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,5,15,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">A most deplorable evil: as he came, so shall he return.
