{"reader_html":"<h1 class=\"chapter-heading\">Isaias<span class=\"chapter-label\">Chapter 47<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"1\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,23,47,1,&quot;Isaiah&quot;)\">1<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">COME down, sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne for the daughter of the Chaldeans, for thou shalt no more be called delicate and tender.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"2\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,23,47,2,&quot;Isaiah&quot;)\">2<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Take a millstone and grind meal: uncover thy shame, strip thy shoulder, make bare thy legs, pass over the rivers.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"3\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,23,47,3,&quot;Isaiah&quot;)\">3<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Thy nakedness shall be discovered, and thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and no man shall resist me.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,23,47,4,&quot;Isaiah&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Our redeemer, the Lord of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,23,47,5,&quot;Isaiah&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called the lady of kingdoms.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,23,47,6,&quot;Isaiah&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">I was angry with my people, I have polluted my inheritance, and have given them into thy bend: thou hast shewn no mercy to them: upon the ancient thou hast laid thy yoke exceeding heavy.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,23,47,7,&quot;Isaiah&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And thou hast said: I shall be a lady for ever: thou hast not laid these things to thy heart, neither hast thou remembered thy latter end.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,23,47,8,&quot;Isaiah&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And now hear these things, thou that art delicate, and dwellest confidently, that sayest in thy heart: I am, and there is none else besides me: I shall not sit as a widow, and I shall not know barrenness.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,23,47,9,&quot;Isaiah&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">These two things shall come upon thee suddenly in one day, barrenness and widowhood. All things are come upon thee, because of the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great hardness of thy enchanters.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,23,47,10,&quot;Isaiah&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And thou best trusted in thy wickedness, and hast said: There is none that seeth me. Thy wisdom, and thy knowledge, this hath deceived thee.
