God only shall be justified, and he remaineth an invincible king for ever.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"2\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,2,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">2<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Who is able to declare his works?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"3\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,3,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">3<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For who shall search out his glorious acts?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,4,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And who shall shew forth the power of his majesty? or who shall be able to declare his mercy?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,5,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Nothing may be taken away, nor added, neither is it possible to find out the glorious works of God:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,6,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">When a man hath done, then shall he begin: and when he leaveth off, he shall be at a loss.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,7,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">What is man, and what is his grace? and what is his good, or what is his evil?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,8,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The number of the days of men at the most are a hundred years: as a drop of water of the sea are they esteemed: and as a pebble of the sand, so are a few years compared to eternity.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,9,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Therefore God is patient in them, and poureth forth his mercy upon them.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,10,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He hath seen the presumption of their heart that it is wicked, and hath known their end that it is evil.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,11,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Therefore bath he filled up his mercy in their favour, and hath shewn them the way of justice.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,12,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The compassion of man is toward his neighbour: but the mercy of God is upon all flesh.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,13,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He hath mercy, and teacheth, and correcteth, as a shepherd doth his hock.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,14,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He hath mercy on him that receiveth the discipline of mercy, and that maketh haste in his judgments.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,15,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">My son, in thy good deeds, make no complaint, and when thou givest any thing, add not grief by an evil word.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"16\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,16,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">16<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Shall not the dew assuage the heat? so also the good word is better than the gift.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"17\" onclick=\"loadParallel(3,5,18,17,&quot;Sirach&quot;)\">17<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Lo, is not a word better than a gift?
