or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"4\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,4,&quot;Job&quot;)\">4<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,5,&quot;Job&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,6,&quot;Job&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,7,&quot;Job&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Art thou the first man that was born? or wast thou made before the hills?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,8,&quot;Job&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,9,&quot;Job&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,10,&quot;Job&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,11,&quot;Job&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Are the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,12,&quot;Job&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at,<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,13,&quot;Job&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,14,&quot;Job&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,15,&quot;Job&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"16\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,16,&quot;Job&quot;)\">16<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"17\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,17,&quot;Job&quot;)\">17<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">I will shew thee, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare;<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"18\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,18,&quot;Job&quot;)\">18<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"19\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,19,&quot;Job&quot;)\">19<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"20\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,20,&quot;Job&quot;)\">20<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"21\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,21,&quot;Job&quot;)\">21<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">A dreadful sound is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"22\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,22,&quot;Job&quot;)\">22<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"23\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,15,23,&quot;Job&quot;)\">23<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He wandereth abroad for bread, saying, Where is it?
