that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,12,&quot;Job&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,13,&quot;Job&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,14,&quot;Job&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,15,&quot;Job&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"16\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,16,&quot;Job&quot;)\">16<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"17\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,17,&quot;Job&quot;)\">17<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"18\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,18,&quot;Job&quot;)\">18<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"19\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,19,&quot;Job&quot;)\">19<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"20\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,20,&quot;Job&quot;)\">20<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"21\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,21,&quot;Job&quot;)\">21<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"22\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,22,&quot;Job&quot;)\">22<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"23\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,23,&quot;Job&quot;)\">23<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"24\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,18,5,24,&quot;Job&quot;)\">24<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace;
